HOLOCAUST / GENOCIDE PROJECT

»»»»

The I*EARN Holocaust/Genocide Project was one of the first major online collaborative projects that our foundation supported. The project was co-ordinated by students at Coldspring Harbour High School in New York, USA, and was designed to identify and attempt to re-dress the personal and institutional racism that has been experienced by minority groups throughout the 20th century.

After considerable involvement by students and staff at Broadford Secondary College in the early 1990's, the foundation supported the expansion of the project within Australia by supporting the growth of schools participating in online newsgroups as well as making specific funds available for students and staff members from Australian schools to participate in joint study missions to Poland and Israel in 1994 and 1995 and the subsequent publishing of their work both in print and in online form.

The resultant expansion and popularity of this global online project is a testament to the dedication of the staff and students worldwide and their comitment to the eradication of racism.
