| Hi, welcome to Talkback Classroom.
My name is Narissa and I'd like to introduce you to our project Talkback Classroom. Talkback Classroom puts students in touch with people we might never otherwise get the chance to talk with. We get to interview these people over the phone and make broadcast quality recordings of our interviews. Sometimes these recordings are played on radio and sometimes we link up with radio stations to broadcast the interviews as they happen. Maybe you've heard us on Radio National, Triple J, 3AW, 3LO, Hitz FM or Regional Radio CO FM. The students at Alexandra, Broadford, Euroa, Mansfield and Yea secondary colleges who've been involved with the project have spoken to lots of interesting and sometimes famous people. The whole idea of Talkback is to build up communication skills by doing interviews. But, interviewers have to be well informed and our program requires us to research the issues we talk about with politicians, Olympians, TV personalities and heaps of other people. To hear a sample of some of our interviews click on the name of the people you'd like to hear and if you'd like to know more about the project contact our teacher and Talkback Classroom coordinator Stephen Cutting at our email address. |
