"Students Worldwide Are Invited to Capture Olympic Spirit
Through Photo Essay Contest"

Students around the world are invited to participate in this on-line photography exhibit to capture the Olympic spirit.

This project is sponsored by Eastman Kodak Company and I*EARN- The International Education and Resource Network.

The project, "The Olympics in My Community" is open to students aged between 5 to 18 years of age from *ANY* country in the world.

"We want students around the world to illustrate through images what the Olympics mean to them," said Dr. Anne Miller, director, Educational Solutions and Servies, Eastman Kodak Company. "We look forward to seeing how young people from Argentina to New Zealand use pictures to show how this spirit affects their homes, schools, neighborhoods and communities."

"Most of us will never have the chance to attend the Olympics in person, yet we will follow the events closely as they are broadcast in the news," noted Dr. Ed Gragert, Director of I*EARN. "Because we live in a world troubled by conflict among nations and people of different cultures, the sight of the athletes coming together from so many countries for a common and peaceful purpose is special."

A maximum of 10 photos from each country will be selected to be displayed on Kodak's Web site. The photo exhibit will be acessible on the Web through 1997.

Kodak will provide "Certificates of Participation" to each student who submits a picture to the project. In addition, the company will give "Certificates of Recognition" to students whose pictures are chosen to appear on Kodak's Web site.
