You bump into people in the funniest places, nice to meet you again Stuart. We tried without success to arrange an interview with you for Talk Back Classroom when you were in Bosnia. We did three great interviews through Red Cross, one involved a link up with Geneva. T.B.C. is going very well with a lot of live radio link ups of late. We have a series of ten interviews being broadcast live on CO FM ABC regional. The first is with Phil Gude at 10.40 August 8th. We'd love to work with the Red Cross in this way. Our link to radio is now a digital one providing studio quality sound from the classroom. I think your diary idea is great. Well done .

Hey there Stuart & Jeremy! Katrina and me are at school playing with the internet, so we thought we would read the diaries. Well it was great stuff, and we don't know how you had such a sense of humour. Hi Stuart, this is Kathrina, It must have been depressing seeing all those empty houses, blown apart by bombs. However you were there first hand and none of us would ever be able to imagine the sadness and fear such a war-torn place would hold. I have relatives living near the war so I think I know how that fear feels. P.S The above addresses are to access our TAFE College and our teacher will probably be the one to recieve any messages. P.P.S Catch up with you two soon oo roo !

I was moved by the map..and the vividness of your descriptions. I would be fascinated to read some of the questions you have been asked..it would let us see the meaning young people have been able to make of your experiences, but more importantly, of the experiences of the people with whom you were working. Congratulations Red Cross & iearn & Stuart

As I read the first diary entry, I was reminded of the words that a young Bosnian boy sent out on the I*EARN network a few years ago, "A message to the whole world from me and all the children, my friends, and from all other refugees. Thank you for all the help. Stop this damned war!!" Thanks for sharing these very personal accounts. Seeing the war up close, in very human terms, unites us and brings us a step close to peace.

Stuart, My kids, (Rafeah Salby and Rebecca Sayer), who I believe were the first contributors, will be unable to receive any replies you may send as our computer has broken down and will be away getting fixed for a week. This is my personal email and I would be happy to receive any message to pass on to the kids. Thanks for making your experiences public for the schoolkids. I hope it gives them some idea of the trauma which that part of the world has gone through. Jim Pollock

How is this being publicised to schools who may not be aware of the advantages of Internet, but would certainly love to contribute if it were available? I'd love to see my children's schools contributing, as the children frequently ask me complex questions about first aid that I have difficulty answering.
