Released recently by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the discussion paper examines the social dynamics of knowledge-based activity and attempts to determine the degree to which Australia is a knowledge-based economy. The aim of the document is to stimulate discussion on the proposed framework. Readers are invited to comment on the theoretical basis and structure of the framework, as well as the range of indicators proposed.
